Inner Child Work ❀
1. Recall a childhood memory in vivid detail, exploring the sights, sounds, and emotions? Does that bring up strong emotions? What were you feeling, and how does it resonate with you now?
2. Imagine your inner child as a separate entity. What does this child look like, and how would you describe their personality?
3. Write a letter from your current self to your inner child. Offer reassurance, love, and guidance.
4. Visualize a safe and comforting place from your childhood. Describe it in detail and explore the emotions associated with it.
5. List three things you loved to do as a child but may have neglected as an adult. Consider reintegrating them into your life.
6. Reflect on any negative beliefs or patterns that may stem from childhood experiences. How can we challenge and reframe these beliefs?
7. Create a collage or drawing representing your inner child's dreams and aspirations. What ambitions did you have as a child?
8. Explore a challenging or painful event from your past. How has it impacted your present, and what steps can you take to heal?
9. Consider the messages you received about emotions in childhood. How can you now embrace and express your feelings in a healthy way?
10. Engage in a dialogue with your inner child. Ask them what they need, listen attentively, and respond with compassion.
